Thailand EV sales in 2023 went up 684% vs 2022, BYD come to the Top

In 2023, Thailand saw a significant increase in electric vehicle (EV) sales. The total number of EVs registered was 76,314, which is a 684.4% increase from 2022. This accounted for 12% of the country’s total car sales.

In terms of brands, BYD led the market with 30,650 cars sold, making it the most popular brand1. BYD had a successful year globally as well, with more than 3 million sales in 20232.

Neta came in second in Thailand with 12,777 cars sold1. Globally, Neta aimed for 300,000 vehicle sales in 2023. It’s interesting to see the rapid growth and adoption of EVs in Thailand and around the world.
