至 2021 年開始了 Run on Less – Electric ，針對電動卡車的最新實時監控研究，電動卡車開始證明其實力。
在今年，三款全新的 Tesla Semi 卡車透過與 PepsiCO 合作，參與了該計畫。
目前，為期 18 天的研究結束了，而在倒數第二天，Tesla Semi #3 成功地創下了紀錄，在一天內行駛了 1,076 英里。
雖然 NACFE 未公布這一天具體的有效承載量，但它確實表示了這些卡車的平均負載有超過 70,000 磅。
研究數據剛收集結束，相信之後不久就能看到該計畫對這些數據分析後所獲得的結論。
